Red Sauce
For spaghetti, lasagna, etc. I got this recipe from a friend who had lived in Italy.

- 2 large cans of tomatoes
- 1 6 oz tomato paste
- 2-3 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp chicken paste
- 1-2 Tbsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- dash paprika
- dash pepper
- 2 Tbsp basil
- 2 Tbsp sugar
In large saucepan, cook onion in olive oil until glassy.
Add tomatoes and cook for 1-2 min. to break down tomatoes.
Add remaining sauce ingredients.
(If making Pasta al Forno, add peas at this time)
Heat to boiling and then put on low to simmer for 15-20 min.
