Pecan Pie
Ingredients
Pie Crust:
- 3 cups flour
- 1½ cup shortening
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 4 Tbsp ICE water
Pie:
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¼ cup butter melted
- dash of salt
Instructions
Crust:
- Cream shortening into flour & salt.
- Beat together egg & vinegar. Add to flour mixture
- Mix in ice water. Blend thoroughly, will feel like cookie dough.
- Roll out onto floured surface and place into pie plates. (makes 2 crusts)
Pie Filling:
- Mix all ingredients together and pour into unbaked pie crust.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour
