Blond Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 3 cups brown sugar packed
  • ½ tsp soda
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 3 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup nuts chopped, optional

Instructions

  • Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, and salt, set aside. 
  • Whip sugar and butter until light. 
  • Blend in eggs and vanilla. 
  • Add flour mixture gradually.  Mix well. 
  • Pour into a greased 13x9 pan and bake for 30 min. at 350.
