Heavy whipping cream the amount you use depends on how much sauce you want

Instructions
Simmer whipping cream and garlic (I buy the jars of fresh minced garlic and add about 1 Tbsp for 2 c of cream) on the stove (takes a long time so watch it!) until it reduces and thickens. Just before serving add parmesan cheese slowly, whisking constantly.
This sauce is not good for leftovers. Try to make only what you need. It separates as it cools
