Alane’s Sourdough Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (400 g) Sourdough starter
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup (50 g) coconut oil melted
  • ½ tsp (2.5 g) salt
  • 1 tsp (5 g) cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp (40 g) honey
  • 1 tsp (5 g) vanilla
  • 1 tsp (5 g) baking soda

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle iron (or skillet if making pancakes)
  • In large bowl, add sourdough starter, eggs, oil, salt, cinnamon, honey and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Add baking soda and stir
  • Add 3/4 – 1 cup batter to hot waffle iron
  • cook 3 minutes

Notes

For Pancakes: You can omit the cinnamon and simply fry on a skillet!
