Pecan Pie

Ingredients

Pie Crust:

  • 3 cups flour
  • cup shortening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp ICE water

Pie:

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • dash of salt

Instructions

Crust:

  • Cream shortening into flour & salt.
  • Beat together egg & vinegar. Add to flour mixture
  • Mix in ice water. Blend thoroughly, will feel like cookie dough.
  • Roll out onto floured surface and place into pie plates. (makes 2 crusts)

Pie Filling:

  • Mix all ingredients together and pour into unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour
