Homemade Egg Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions

  • Add milk & salt to beaten egg.
  • Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Knead until smooth and form into a ball.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll dough out very thin.
  • Let rest again for 10 to 20 minutes.
  • Slice into strips using pizza cutter or knife and allow to dry.

Notes

I lived with Grandma Emily May Ostler for two summers after high school graduation. She taught me to make these noodles for chicken noodle soup.
I rarely let the noodles dry, I use them almost right away.
