Homemade Egg Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 cup flour
Instructions
- Add milk & salt to beaten egg.
- Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Knead until smooth and form into a ball.
- Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll dough out very thin.
- Let rest again for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Slice into strips using pizza cutter or knife and allow to dry.
Notes
I lived with Grandma Emily May Ostler for two summers after high school graduation. She taught me to make these noodles for chicken noodle soup.
I rarely let the noodles dry, I use them almost right away.
