Faux Sourdough Starter
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp Yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups warm water
Instructions
- In a pitcher or something that has a lid, combine all ingredients.
- Beat well with a wooden spoon.
- Fermentation will dissolve lumps.
- Cover, or put lid on with spout open.
- Set in a warm place. Let ferment for 2 to 3 days.
- Stir everyday.
- To use remove starter needed for recipe.
- Refrigerate remainder.
- Replenish by adding equal amounts of flour and water.
