Butternut Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 lg butternut squash
  • ¼ cup loose brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400. 
  • Cut squash in half lengthwise.  Remove seeds. 
  • place cut side down in shallow baking pan lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. 
  • Bake 35-45 minutes,
  • Test with fork. 
  • Remove and Sprinkle with salt and brown sugar. 
  • return to oven. Bake until toasty brown. 
  • Squash may be mashed, drizzled with butter, honey or syrup.
