COOK MODE
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 tbsp warm water
- 1 1/2 teas yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
Dry Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/8 teas baking soda
- 2 1/2 teas baking powder
- 1 teas salt
- 1/2 Cup shortening
Liquids
- 1 cup Buttermilk
Instructions
- Mix water, yeast and sugar. Set aside.
Dry Ingredients
- Mix together and cut in shortening with pastry blender
Liquids
- Add buttermilk and yeast mixture to dry ingredients. Knead lightly. Roll out on floured surface. Cut into biscuits. Dip top in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400F for 8-10 minutes.ENJOY!
