Faux Sourdough Starter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups warm water

Instructions

  • In a pitcher or something that has a lid, combine all ingredients.
  • Beat well with a wooden spoon.
  • Fermentation will dissolve lumps.
  • Cover, or put lid on with spout open.
  • Set in a warm place. Let ferment for 2 to 3 days.
  • Stir everyday.
  • To use remove starter needed for recipe.
  • Refrigerate remainder.
  • Replenish by adding equal amounts of flour and water.
