Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp butter divided
  • 1 lb mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • cup water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt

Instructions

  • In a skillet, melt 2 Tbsp butter, add mushrooms and sauté until soft.  Remove mushrooms and set aside. 
  • In the same skillet, add remaining butter and flour; stir with whisk.  Slowly add water, whisking continuously.  Add bouillon. 
  • After the bouillon has dissolved, add cream, salt and garlic.  Add already cooked mushrooms.  Serve hot over mashed potatoes.
