Thanksgiving Stuffing (crockpot method)
Ingredients
- 12 cups bread torn up small
- 3 cups celery chopped
- 1 cup onion chopped
- ¾ cup butter
- 1 Tbsp poultry seasoning
- 2 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ cup drained cranberries
- ½ cup slivered almonds or broken pecans
- 12 oz low fat sausage
- 1 egg well blended
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms optional
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Saute onions, celery & mushrooms in ¾ c butter.
- Brown sausage.
- Combine & mix lightly all ingredients.
- Put in a crockpot on high for 45 min.
- After 45 min. turn to low and cook for 4-8 hrs.
