Cabbage Salsa (or Salad)
Ingredients
Sauce:
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup cider vinegar
- ½ cup vegetable oil or olive oil
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Salad:
- 1 head green cabbage finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper finely chopped
- 1 bunch green onions finely chopped
- 1 bunch cilantro finely chopped
Instructions
- Soak all the vegetables in a mixture of white vinegar & water.
- After it has soaked for about 30 min. Chop finely with a knife
- For the Sauce: gently boil the sugar and vinegar for 5 min. then cool
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Make sure it is cool before adding it to the greens. Don't add sauce to greens until ready to eat.
