Golden Syrup

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp water
  • cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Put sugar in a pan, shake the pan so sugar is even.  Sprinkle it with vinegar and water mixture.  Cook over low heat, without stirring for 5 min. 
  • Increase heat to medium & cook until syrup has taken caramel color, 5-6 min. 
  • Remove from heat & pour in corn syrup.  DO NOT STIR!  Let bubble for 2-3 min.  When bubbling stops, stir well. 
  • Add heavy whipping cream.
