Buttermilk Syrup
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp soda
Instructions
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt and brown the butter.
- Whisk in the sugar and buttermilk.
- Stir until it starts to boil and boil for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda.
Notes
Browning the butter gives this syrup a caramel flavor. Super yummy on my Overnight Sourdough Waffles or anything including ice cream.
