Whole Wheat-Raisin Bread

Ingredients

  • 4-5 cups warm water
  • *1-2 cups raisins (liquefied) *liquefy raisins in blender with part of the water.  After it is liquefied add remaining water to bring to a total of 5 c.  
  • 3 Tbsp Yeast
  • ¼ cup  oil
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 7-9 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup wheat bran

Instructions

  • In bread mixer combine raisins, water, yeast oil and salt.
  • Blend well.
  • Add wheat bran and flour to raisin mixture until it just starts to clean sides of bowl.
  • Do Not Add too much flour.
  • Knead 6-7 minutes.
  • Let raise til double.
  • Divide into 2 loafs.
  • Place in well greased bread pans.
  • Let rise again until double.
  •  Bake at 375º for approx. 25 min.
