Sweet and Sour Meatballs
COOK MODEIngredients
Meatballs:
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp onion chopped
- 2 Tbsp milk
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 lb hamburger
- ½-1 cup bread crumbs
Sauce:
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp corn starch
- 1 can pineapple tidbits drained
- reserved pineapple juice from can
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup water
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
Meatballs:
- Mix meatball ingredients well, roll into balls and brown in skillet. Add 1 chopped green pepper and ⅓ – ½ c flour. Mix into browned meatballs. Add water to make a gravy. Let simmer until thick, stirring occasionally.
In saucepan:
- Combine all sauce ingredients. Cook until thick, will turn to a clear glaze look, pour over cooked meatballs and add pineapple.
- Serve with fried rice.
