Paleo Flourless Healthy Brownies

- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ⅔ cup almond butter or peanut butter
- ⅓ cup maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar substitute
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Ganache:
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350°.
- Line an 8×8" pan with parchment paper and set aside
- In a large mixing bowl, and the applesauce, almond (Peanut)butter, and maple syrup and whisk together until smooth. Add the coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract and mix until just combined. Fold through the chocolate chips.
- Transfer the batter into the lined pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a skewer comes out mostly clean.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely
Ganache:
- Place heavy cream in a microwavable clear dish (I use a glass measuring cup). Microwave 30 sec. to 1 minute or until it starts to bubble and grows in size, then stop. It's important that it is very hot.
- Mix in the chocolate chips and stir until completely melted.
- Serve while still warm.
