Oatmeal Breakfast Cookies

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup bran mixture of wheat and oat
  • ¾ tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1-2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 F. 
  • Blend butter, sugar, egg, molasses, and milk.  Add flour, bran, soda, and salt, and mix well.  Blend in oats and chips. 
  • Drop by large spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.  Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Notes

These were my kids’ very favorite breakfast!  All these breakfast cookies make a very tender cookie so have a napkin handy.
