Mom’s Mashed Potatoes
COOK MODEIngredients
- 6-8 large potatoes yukon gold preferred
- ¼-½ cup butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup sour cream
Instructions
- Peel potatoes (can leave peel on if you prefer), cut into approx 1-2" cubes
- Place in large pot, cover with water.
- Boil for approx 15 min.
- Use fork to see if they are done. Fork should go into potato easily. Drain.
- Add margarine, salt & cream and mash.
- Variety: You can substitute cream for milk or cream cheese.
- Variety: place in greased cake pan, top with grated cheese and chives. bake at 350 until cheese melts. Approx. 10 min. Yum!
