Egyptian One Eyed Sandwich

- 1 slice bread
- 1 egg
- butter or margarine
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Butter both sides of the bread. (When buttering the opposite side, place on a plate and use a pancake turner to pick up.), cut the middle of the bread out with the top of a glass or biscuit cutter.
- Place on a hot griddle.
- Crack egg into hole of bread.
- Griddle both sides until nice and brown, yet don’t overcook the egg.
- The little round piece you cut out can be fried on both sides and used to dip into the egg.
