Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 12 oz. pkg fresh or frozen cranberries

Instructions

  • In heavy sauce pan, heat sugars, orange juice, water, and cinnamon, stir to dissolve the sugars.
  • Add cranberries and bring mixture to a boil.
  • Cook over medium heat until the berries pop, about 10 minutes.
  • Mash the mixture with a spoon to pop any unpopped berries and help the mixture thicken.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer until the sauce is the desired consistency, up to 10 more minutes.
  • Remove from heat and chill for serving.
  • Sauce will thicken when chilled
