Chia Hot Cereal

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Tbsp chia seeds
  • dash salt
  • agave or favorite sweetener
  • cinnamon or favorite spice
  • your favorite fruit
  • 2 Tbsp cream

Instructions

  • Combine in a cereal bowl all the dry ingredients.  Fill with hot water and stir in cream and sweeten.

Notes

This makes a simple and very nutritious breakfast.  I also like to have this for a late night snack.  Chia is very versatile.  You can also use it as a thickener.  I use it in my cobbler recipes in place of tapioca.
