Living in Block 89 was sort of a family thing. Uncle Clinton and Aunt Thelma and their children lived across the street from us. We played frequently together. One time while Carol Jean (probably about 4 years old) was playing with Teresa (about 6) they decided to make a honey sandwich but the honey had turned to sugar. They knew they could melt it and stuck the honey can directly on the burner to melt. It exploded all over Aunt Thelma’s newly painted kitchen. It wasn’t just the honey exploded that day.
