Berries in the Snow 9×13 pan version
COOK MODEIngredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 6 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cup heavy whipping cream whipped
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cans berry or cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar, and melted butter; press firmly into the bottom of a 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
- Beat the cream cheese and sugar until fluffy; add vanilla. Fold in whipped cream and marshmallows. Spread into pan over crust.
- Refrigerate for several hours or overnight (this is to dissolve the marshmallows).
- Serve topped with pie filling.
Notes
This was our Aunt Carroll’s recipe. She always served it with cherry pie filling. We liked it best with fresh strawberries (made like you get in fresh strawberry pie). Any kind of berry pie filling is good but fresh strawberries that had been glazed was our favorite.
Every time we have this I remember Aunt Carroll. How I loved her!
