Gpa’s Bacon Wrapped Smokies

- 1 lb bacon
- 1 lb beef smokies
- ½ cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven 375 degrees.
- Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie.
- Place all wrapped smokies in single layer of deep baking dish.
- Melt butter. Add 1 cup brown sugar to melted butter and mix well
- Pour butter/sugar mixture over smokies. Sprinkle remaining cup of brown sugar over smokies.
- Bake in over for 15-20 minutes.
- Turn heat up to 400 degrees and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Cook longer if necessary to crisp bacon.
