  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F
  • Place ham in a foil-lined pan. HUGE TIP: line well!! Otherwise cleanup is a BEAR!!
  • In the top half of a double boiler, heat the corn syrup, honey and butter. Keep glaze warm while baking ham!
  • BASTE, BASTE, BASTE. Every 15-20 minutes
  • Brush glaze over ham and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Baste ham every 10-15 minutes with the honey glaze. During the last 4-5 minutes of baking, turn on broiler to caramelize the glaze. Remove from oven and let sit a few minutes before serving.
  • ALTERNATE COOK METHOD: Cook in slow cooker on low ~5 hours. HUGE TIP: Use a slow-cooker liner, otherwise cleanup is a BEAR!!

Notes

Very much like the famous Honey-Baked Ham but MUCH less expensive…and better!?!
