Sweet & Sour Glazed Chicken

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water
  • 4 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • Mix in saucepan and cook until it becomes thick and clear.  May need to double sauce recipe if you want to use it on rice (I always do).
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves cut into strips or nuggets—wash, coat with flour and brown in a greased skillet or deep fat fryer.  Drain and place in 9 x 13 baking dish & cover with sauce.  Bake uncovered @ 350 for 15 minutes.  Turn and bake for 10 more minutes.
