Carbonara
Ingredients
- ½ onion chopped
- 1 pkg bacon
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp garlic minced
Cut bacon into small pieces and fry in a saucepan with oil, add onion and garlic, cook till onion is glassy.
In a bowl combine:
- 1 egg yolk, per person plus 2 or 3 yolks
- 3 Tbsp basil
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp salt
- ½ Tbsp pepper
- ½ -1 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook pasta (spaghetti, linguine, etc.) and drain. Immediately pour cream mixture and bacon mixture over pasta. Stir well and serve with garlic bread and parmesan cheese.
