Stripe-it-Rich Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg cake mix, any flavor
  • 2 4oz pkg instant pudding complementary flavor
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 cups cold milk

Instructions

  • Prepare cake mix following package directions. Bake in greased 13×9 pan.
  • Remove from oven and poke holes at once down through cake to the pan with the round handle of a wooden spoon. Holes should be 1" apart
  • Combine pudding mix with sugar in large bowl. Gradually stir in milk.
  • Beat at low speed for about 1 minute.
  • Quickly, before pudding thickens, pour half of the thin pudding over warm cake and into the holes to make the stripes.
  • Allow remaining pudding to thicken slightly and spoon over the top to frost cake.
  • Chill at least 1 hour.
