G’pa Lybbert’s Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin sliced bacon
  • 1 lb beef lil' smokies
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie
  • Place all wrapped smokies in a 9×13 baking dish that has been coated with a non-stick spray
  • Melt butter and add 1 cup brown sugar. Stir
  • Pour butter brown sugar mixture over smokies
  • Take additional cup of brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over smokies
  • Bake about 15-20 min.
  • Turn het up to 400 for about 5 min. or longer until bacon becomes crispy
