Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup orange juice
- ½ cup water
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 12 oz. pkg fresh or frozen cranberries
Instructions
- In heavy sauce pan, heat sugars, orange juice, water, and cinnamon, stir to dissolve the sugars.
- Add cranberries and bring mixture to a boil.
- Cook over medium heat until the berries pop, about 10 minutes.
- Mash the mixture with a spoon to pop any unpopped berries and help the mixture thicken.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer until the sauce is the desired consistency, up to 10 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and chill for serving.
- Sauce will thicken when chilled
