Coney Island Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Brown hamburger slowly, breaking with a fork until fine. 
  • Add remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 10 min. 
  • Serve a top wiener placed on open-face hot dog bun. 
  • Top with chopped raw onion, grated cheddar cheese, & mustard if desired
